Confronting Childhood Cancer was founded by a group of high school students local to the Space coast of Florida with the collective to help as many families as possible. With personal relations to fighting cancer, we know how hard it can be.

As members of HOSA Future Health Professionals, we are dedicated to improving public health outcomes for our country. The inspiration from Confronting Childhood Cancer came from one of our founding member's brothers who, with the help of St. Jude, fought and won an aggressive brain cancer as a young child. He is one of the bravest and strongest people we know, and his story should be made known.

In our county, there is no infrastructure to support the treatment of childhood cancer. Families already facing some of the hardest moments they will ever experience are forced to find ways to travel long distances for treatment. Many cannot afford the cost. The worst part is that not many people know this.
